UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam Dates Announced: Know When and How the Exam Will Be Held

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced that the written examination for the Constable (Civil Police) recruitment 2025 will be held on June 8, 9, and 10, 2026.  Read on for complete details.

This is big news for young people dreaming of a job in the police department in Uttar Pradesh. The UPPBPB has released the schedule for the written examination for direct recruitment to Constable (Civil Police) and equivalent posts in 2025.  Thousands of positions are to be filled across the state through this recruitment drive, for which lakhs of candidates have applied.

Exam Details

According to the official information released by the UPPBPB, the written examination for the Constable (Civil Police) recruitment 2025 will be held on June 8, June 9, and June 10, 2026. The exam will be conducted over three days, in two shifts each day. The examination will be held at various examination centers established in different districts of the state to provide all candidates with a convenient opportunity to take the exam. The recruitment board has clarified that all important information related to the examination, such as the syllabus, examination center details, and admit cards, will be released only on the official website uppbpb.gov.in. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly.

Number of Vacancies

Under the UP Police Recruitment 2025, a large number of constable positions will be filled. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 32,679 candidates will be selected and deployed in different police departments of the state. This recruitment includes positions in Civil Police, PAC, Special Security Force, Jail Warder, and Mounted Police. Appointments in all these departments will be made based on the candidates' performance and merit.

Selection Process

The selection process for the UP Police Constable recruitment is completed in several stages. First, candidates will have to appear for a written examination. Candidates who qualify in this examination will be called for the next stage. After the written examination, document verification will be conducted, in which educational qualifications and other necessary certificates will be checked. This will be followed by the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who successfully complete all these stages will be included in the final merit list.

Salary Details

Candidates selected in this recruitment will be paid a salary according to government rules. Candidates selected for the Constable post will receive a salary of approximately ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 under Pay Level 3.  Other government benefits and allowances will also be provided.

The recruitment board has advised candidates to follow the guidelines issued before the examination. Candidates must arrive at the examination center on time, and it is mandatory to carry a valid identity card along with their admit card.
