UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025: The recruitment process for youths aspiring to become constables in the Uttar Pradesh Police has reached a crucial stage. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the recruitment of 32,679 constables and equivalent posts has commenced. A total of 67,724 candidates who qualified in the written examination have been allowed to participate in this round. The recruitment board has also issued admit cards for the PET.

**Running Test Being Conducted in Five Cities**
The running test for the constable recruitment is being organized across five cities in Uttar Pradesh. In Lucknow, the 35th Battalion PAC and Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University have been designated as examination centers. Additionally, the PET is being conducted at the 4th Battalion PAC in Prayagraj, 33rd Battalion PAC in Jhansi, 25th Battalion PAC in Raebareli, and 45th Battalion PAC in Aligarh. The recruitment board has published details regarding the PET on its website.

**Men Must Run 4.8 Kilometers in 25 Minutes**
The PET will assess the candidates' physical stamina through a running test. Male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within a maximum of 25 minutes, while female candidates must cover a distance of 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes. Completing the run within the stipulated time is crucial for this round. Systems such as electronic timing, CCTV surveillance, and biometric verification are being utilized for the PET.

**600 Candidates Taking the Test in Lucknow**
Approximately 600 candidates are participating in the PET today at the 35th Battalion PAC center in Lucknow. Candidate activity has been observed at the examination centers since early morning. For candidates who have reached this stage following the written examination, maintaining physical fitness and completing the run within the stipulated time is now crucial.

**Physical Test Follows the Written Exam**
The written examination for the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025 was conducted in June 2026. Subsequently, the process of Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (DV/PST) was carried out for eligible candidates. Candidates who successfully cleared these stages are now appearing for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The recruitment board released information regarding the PET dates and admit cards on September 24.

The PET is scheduled to be held from October 1 to October 7, 2026; however, additional dates have also been designated for certain centers. Candidates must report to the examination venue in accordance with the center, date, and reporting time specified on their admit cards.
