UP LT Grade Teacher Vacancy: There is good news for the people waiting for teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued a short notification for 7666 LT Grade Teachers Recruitment 2025. There are 4860 vacancies for male teachers and 2525 vacancies for women in government schools. Apart from this, there are 81 vacancies under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Online application for this recruitment will be done from 28 July to 28 August on the website of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, upsc.up.nic.in. Recruitment of LT grade teachers (assistant teacher and TGT category) has come in Uttar Pradesh after about seven years. Earlier in the year 2018, recruitment was done for 10768 posts. Then the selection was done on the basis of a written examination. This time, the commission has decided to make the selection on the basis of preliminary and main examinations.
B.Ed. Not mandatory for many subjects
The Secondary Education Department had amended the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Education (Trained Graduate) Service (Sixth Amendment) Rules 2024 on March 28. Under this change, an exemption has been given from the mandatory B.Ed in some subjects. Which includes computer subjects.
Exemption from B.Ed in LT grade recruitment of Computer Science
Exemption from the mandatory B.Ed has been given in the LT grade (assistant teacher) recruitment for the computer subject. Earlier, in the LT grade recruitment released in the year 2018, B.Ed was also mandatory for Computer Science. But due to being a technical subject, most of the applicants did not have a B.Ed degree. Due to this, 1637 out of 1673 vacant posts remained vacant.
B.Ed. Not mandatory for BFA in LT Arts.
Under the amended rules, B.Ed is not mandatory even for BFA in LT Arts. Meaning if you have done BFA, then B.Ed is not required. However, those with a B.Ed degree will get preference. But those without B.Ed can also become LT-grade teachers.
Those with Uttar Madhyama can apply in Hindi.
Under the revised rules of LT grade teacher recruitment, candidates with Uttar Madhyama can now become assistant teachers of the Hindi subject. Earlier, for LT Hindi, Hindi as a subject in graduation, Sanskrit as a subject in intermediate and B.Ed were mandatory.
