Appointment letters were distributed by the Chief Minister to the candidates who were recently selected for the Lekhpal posts in Uttar Pradesh. After the completion of this recruitment, now the requisition for new recruitment for Lekhpal posts has been sent to the government by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, it is estimated that soon the UPSC will issue a notification for this and start the process for Lekhpal posts. According to reports, this time this recruitment can be done for about 4700 posts.
Who can participate in Lekhpal recruitment?
To apply for Lekhpal posts, the candidate must have a valid score card for the UPSSSC PET exam. Along with this, the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board/institute. Apart from educational qualification, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years at the time of applying. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected for Revenue Lekhpal posts through written examination. 100 multiple choice type questions will be asked in the exam, for which candidates will be given 2 hours to solve. In the exam, 25 questions will be asked from General Hindi subject, 25 questions from Mathematics subject, 25 questions from General Knowledge, and 25 questions from Rural Society and Development. 1 mark will be given to the candidate for each correct answer.
Candidates should keep in mind that there is also a provision for negative marking in this exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. More details related to the recruitment will be released with the release of notification by UPSC.
