UP University Recruitment 2025: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision to improve the level of higher education and strengthen the administrative structure of universities. A total of 1466 posts will be recruited in the three major universities of the state (Guru Jambheshwar University Moradabad, Maa Vindhyavasini University, Mirzapur, and Maa Pateshwari University, Balrampur). These posts include 948 non-teaching posts. Along with this, 518 teaching posts (Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor) will also be filled.
468 temporary non-teaching posts
A total of 156 temporary non-teaching posts have been created in each university, which have been approved specifically for the purpose of smoothing the administrative and technical work of the universities. All these posts will remain effective till 28 February 2026. However, their duration can also be terminated as per the circumstances and requirements.
Temporary non-teaching posts include many important posts like Pharmacist, Electrician, Junior Engineer, Stenographer, Assistant Accountant, Junior Assistant, Lab Technician, Lab Assistant, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Personal Assistant, Accountant, Principal Assistant, Medical Officer and Staff Nurse. The recruitment process for these posts will be done through Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). The selection process will be completely transparent and merit-based, so that eligible candidates can get employment opportunities.
480 outsourcing posts
Apart from this, 480 posts will be filled through outsourcing in all three universities. There will be 160 posts in each university. These include posts like computer operator, swachhakar, watchman, gardener, peon, driver, and library attendant. The outsourcing process will be completed transparently through GeM Portal.
518 posts of Professor, Associate and Assistant Professor
Recently, the Yogi government had approved the filling of a total of 518 teaching posts in two universities (Guru Jambheshwar University Moradabad and Maa Pateshwari University Balrampur). The details of the vacancies are as follows:
