UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025: There's good news for young people awaiting Home Guard recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. A government order has been issued for this recruitment, along with the approval of the guidelines. Two changes have been made. This time, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has been given the responsibility of recruiting over 45,000 Home Guard positions in Uttar Pradesh. Secondly, it has been confirmed that 10th-grade candidates will be able to apply for this recruitment.

The "Uttar Pradesh State Home Guard Enrollment Guidelines" have been released, according to which online applications for this recruitment will begin on July 1st. The guideline states that Home Guard volunteers will be enrolled based on vacancies in their districts of residence. The District Commandant will assess the existing vacancies in the district units on July 1st of the year of enrollment. This will provide separate vacancies for men and women, and candidates will be able to fill out their applications accordingly.

Eligibility for UP Home Guard
For Home Guard recruitment, candidates must be natives of the district in which the vacancy has occurred. Individuals regularly employed in public/government/semi-government, or public sector undertakings will not be eligible to apply for Home Guard positions. Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates will need their 10th-grade marksheet and certificate at the time of application.

What is the required age limit?
To apply for this Home Guard recruitment, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a maximum of 30 years of age. The age limit will be calculated as of July 1st of the year of enrollment. Age relaxation will be given to OBC, SC, ST, and other reserved category candidates. This relaxation will apply only to native residents of Uttar Pradesh.

How will the selection process be conducted?
Candidates for Home Guard positions will be selected based on a written examination. In which objective-type questions will be asked. The written examination will be of 100 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. The syllabus and schedule of the examination will be decided by UPPRPB. A merit list will be prepared based on the written examination.

On the basis of which candidates will be called for document verification and physical standard test? The height of general candidates/SC/OBC male candidates should be 168 cm. Whereas the height of women will be valid up to 152 cm. The weight of women should be up to 40 kg.
