What are the Eligibility and Age Requirements for UP Forest Guard?
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the Intermediate Examination (Class 12) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any examination recognized as equivalent to it by the government. Additionally, the candidate must have participated in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET 2025).

Age Limit: As of July 1st, the candidate must have completed a minimum age of 18 years and must not have exceeded the age of 40 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit as per applicable rules. Salary: The pay scale for Level-02 has been fixed within the range of a minimum of ₹19,900 to a maximum of ₹63,200.

Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on the scores obtained in the PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test). Candidates who achieve a good score in this stage will subsequently be called for the further stages of the selection process.

What are the height and weight requirements for the UP Forest Guard position?
Male Candidates: Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Scheduled Caste (SC) categories must have a minimum height of 168 cm, while those in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category must be 160 cm tall. The chest measurement for male candidates should be 84 cm (unexpanded). For male candidates in the ST category, a chest measurement of 82 cm is considered valid. 

Additionally, an expansion of 5 cm in the chest is mandatory.
Female Candidates: Female candidates must have a minimum height of 152 cm. For female candidates belonging to the ST category, the minimum height requirement is set at 147 cm. The weight of female candidates must fall within the range of 45 to 58 kilograms.

How will the UP Forest Guard Physical Test be conducted?
Following the Main Written Examination, candidates who successfully clear the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be eligible to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Male candidates are required to complete a 25-kilometer walk/run within 4 hours while carrying a weight of 10 kg. Conversely, female candidates must complete a 14-kilometer walk/run within 4 hours. Passing this endurance test is mandatory; however, no separate marks for this test will be added to the final merit list. Candidates who complete this endurance test will subsequently undergo a Medical Examination.

UP Forest Guard Recruitment: Application Fee
Candidates belonging to all categories—Unreserved, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST)—are required to pay an application fee of ₹25 at the time of submitting their application. The fee for the Main Examination will be payable only by those candidates who are shortlisted for the examination.
