UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the list of shortlisted candidates and the cut-off marks for the Excise Constable Main Examination 2026. The Commission has shortlisted 32,891 candidates for the main examination against a total of 820 vacancies. Candidates can view their results on the Commission's official website.
Under the Excise Constable Recruitment 2026, online applications were initially invited for 722 posts between June 4 and June 24, 2026. Later, on June 23, 2026, the Commission issued a corrigendum adding 98 additional posts to the recruitment drive. Consequently, the total number of vacancies rose to 820. Of these, 682 posts are designated for the general selection category, and 138 posts are for the special selection category.
Selection based on PET-2025
The Commission stated that candidates who secured zero or negative marks (in either actual or normalized scores) in PET-2025 were not selected for the main examination. Subsequently, eligible candidates were shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized scores from PET-2025.
The Commission further noted that this process was carried out in accordance with an order issued by the Allahabad High Court in a specific case. It is under this directive that the 32,891 candidates have been selected for the main examination. Here is the category-wise cut-off:

The Commission will soon announce the date for the Excise Constable Main Examination 2026. Candidates shortlisted based on the PET-2025 should keep an eye on the official website for updates regarding the exam schedule. Candidates are advised to start preparing for the Main Examination immediately.
A total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the Main Examination. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, while a negative marking of 1/4 mark will apply for each incorrect answer. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. A total of 820 Excise Constable posts will be filled through this recruitment drive.
