UP Assistant Teacher recruitment application forms will be rejected; here is the final date for making corrections..
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has extended the application deadline for the 2026 Assistant Teacher recruitment for primary and upper primary schools. This comes as welcome news for candidates who have not yet submitted their applications; they can now complete the process and pursue their goal of becoming an Assistant Teacher. The new deadline for applications is November 4, 2026. Furthermore, if any errors were made while filling out the form, they can be corrected until November 7, 2026.
When is the examination?
While the application deadline has been extended, the examination date remains unchanged. The written examination will be held as scheduled on December 3 and 4, 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission is conducting this recruitment drive for a total of 12,405 positions.
What changes have been made to the eligibility criteria?
Following a High Court order and directives from the state government, the Commission has relaxed the eligibility criteria by recognizing two additional academic courses/degrees for this recruitment. Candidates holding a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)—recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)—are now eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates who have completed the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree are also considered eligible for this recruitment.
How to apply?
Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications and pay the required fees online by visiting the Commission’s official websites: upessc.up.gov.in or apply.upessc.org. To avoid potential issues caused by high website traffic as the deadline approaches, candidates are advised to complete their applications well before November 4.
