UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: Recruitment has been announced for 353 Anganwadi worker positions in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the notification issued by the District Programme Officer's office in Siddharthnagar, these appointments will be made across various Child Development Project areas within the district.

What are the age limit rules for application?
Candidates applying for the Anganwadi worker post must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12) or an equivalent examination. Educational qualifications ranging from Class 12 to postgraduate levels will be recognized for this recruitment, and the merit list will be determined based on these qualifications.

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age. The age calculation will be based on July 1, 2026. Only the date of birth recorded in the High School (Class 10) marksheet or certificate will be accepted as valid proof of the candidate's date of birth.

What are the essential eligibility criteria?
Only female candidates are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Priority will be given to widows, divorcees, or women who have been abandoned by their husbands.

To qualify for this priority, the woman must be a resident of the specific Gram Sabha or Ward and belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.

If no such eligible widow or abandoned woman is available, priority will be given to other women living below the poverty line.

Subsequently, women from Above Poverty Line (APL) families residing in the same Gram Sabha or Ward may also apply.

A candidate cannot apply for more than one Anganwadi center or post.
A maximum of two women from the same family can be appointed to the posts of Anganwadi worker or helper.

Candidates must be residents of the respective Gram Sabha or Ward.
