Eligibility for application? Candidates applying for Anganwadi posts must have passed the 12th standard or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates with higher qualifications, up to the postgraduate level, are also eligible to apply. The merit list will be prepared based on the candidate's highest educational qualification.
Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Only the date of birth recorded in the High School (Class 10) mark sheet and certificate will be accepted as valid proof of age.
**Who gets preference in the selection process?**
**First Priority:** Widows belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families residing in the same Gram Sabha or urban ward.
**Second Priority:** If no widow is available, legally divorced or abandoned women from BPL families in the same Gram Sabha or ward will be considered.
**Third Priority:** If no such woman is available, other female candidates from BPL families in the same Gram Sabha or ward will be considered.
**Thereafter:** If no eligible woman from a BPL family is found, women from APL (Above Poverty Line) families will be given priority in the same order.
**Which documents are required?**
A residence certificate, income certificate, and caste certificate (where applicable) are mandatory for the application. A Class 10 certificate must be submitted as proof of age, while mark sheets ranging from Class 12 to postgraduate level must be submitted for educational qualifications. Widows must submit their husband's death certificate and a verified copy of the family register, while divorced women must present the relevant court order.
