The Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up for one of the biggest recruitment drives in the state — 69,000 vacancies are set to open soon under the Anganwadi Department. • For Anganwadi Worker (कार्यकत्री): Candidates must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) from a recognized board.

• For Anganwadi Assistant (सहायिका): Candidates should have completed at least Class 5 from a recognized school.

The minimum age limit for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 35 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government norms. Women above 50 years of age will not be eligible to apply.

Importantly, only women candidates are allowed to apply for these positions. Applicants must belong to the same district or area where they wish to apply. This ensures local women get preference and employment within their own communities.

Selection Process — No Written Test Required
