Under the UP Junior Aided Teacher Recruitment 2025, a total of 1,894 positions will be filled in state-aided junior high schools. Of these, 1,504 positions are reserved for assistant teachers and 390 for headmasters. All these positions are vacant in non-government-aided schools.
The application process began on November 15, 2025, and will continue until December 5, 2025. The merit list for the recruitment is expected to be released on December 23, 2025.
What are the required qualifications?
For the position of Assistant Teacher, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, a BTC/D.El.Ed., and a TET qualification. For the position of Principal, a B.Ed. Degree and a minimum of five years of teaching experience in a recognized school are required.
Age Limit
The age limit for the position of Assistant Teacher is 21 to 40 years (as of July 1, 2025), while for the position of Principal, the age limit is 30 to 45 years.
Application Fee
The fee is determined by category: ₹700 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, ₹500 for SC/ST candidates, and ₹300 for PH candidates. The fee can be paid online. Candidates can apply according to the prescribed qualifications and deadlines.
Selection Process
The selection process will begin with a merit assessment based on the scores obtained in the Junior High School Teacher Examination held in 2021. This will be followed by a written examination and interview, which will determine the final selection.
