Benefits Under This Scheme

The Bihar government launched the Chief Minister's Self-Help Allowance Scheme in 2016 to support unemployed youth. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to youth while searching for jobs, enabling them to continue their studies or prepare for the post. Under the scheme, youth are provided with an unemployment allowance of ₹1,000 per month.

Previously, this benefit was only available to unemployed intermediate pass applicants. However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has now expanded its scope, extending its benefits to graduate unemployed individuals as well, providing direct relief to millions of youth in the state.

How to Apply?

To avail the benefits of this scheme, youth must apply online. Interested candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the Bihar government's official portal, 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in. When filling out the form, it is mandatory to upload Aadhaar card, residence certificate, income certificate, educational qualification certificate, bank account details, and passport-size photo.

After completing the application, submit the form. After this, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement slip. They will also be provided with information about the further process and necessary instructions so that the benefits of the scheme can reach the youth in the right way.
