UKSSSC Recruitment 2026: The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has issued a new notification for the recruitment of a total of 398 posts—comprising Junior Assistants and Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistants—in the Civil and Family Courts under the jurisdiction of the Nainital High Court. Eligible candidates can apply online for this recruitment from June 22, 2026, to July 6, 2026. Applications must be submitted via the official UKSSSC website.

Who can apply?
For the Junior Assistant post, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. Additionally, proficiency in both Hindi and English is required. Candidates must possess Hindi typing skills with a minimum speed of 25 words per minute; however, preference will be given to candidates who can type in English at a speed of 30 words per minute. Basic knowledge of computer operations is also mandatory.

For the Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant post, a graduation degree is also mandatory. Candidates must have a good command of Hindi and English. A minimum speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi shorthand and 25 words per minute in Hindi typing is required. Preference will be given to candidates with speeds of 80 words per minute in English shorthand and 35 words per minute in English typing. Proficiency in computer operations is also essential.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process
Candidates for the UKSSSC Recruitment 2026 will be selected based on a written examination, a typing/shorthand test, and document verification. Candidates must first appear for the written examination, after which successful candidates will be called for the skill test. In this exam, 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer. If more than one option is selected for a question, it will be considered incorrect, and 0.25 marks will be deducted. If a question is left unattempted (no answer given), there will be no negative marking, meaning no marks will be awarded or deducted.

If two candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who has qualified in the Hindi and English typing/shorthand test. If the marks remain equal even after this, the older candidate will be placed higher on the merit list.
