The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has issued an official notification for the direct recruitment of Group-C Junior Assistants and Stenographers in the state. Candidates aspiring to work as Junior Assistants or Stenographers in Uttarakhand will soon be able to apply for these positions. The application process begins on June 22. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until July 6, 2026. Additionally, candidates will be given an opportunity to make corrections to their application forms between July 8 and July 10.
**Number of Vacancies**
A total of 398 candidates will be selected under this recruitment drive. The vacancies are distributed as follows: 230 posts for Junior Assistant (Civil Court), 29 posts for Junior Assistant (Family Court), 128 posts for Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant, and 11 posts for Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant (Family Court).
**Age Limit**
The prescribed age limit for applicants is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 35 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to special categories.
**Essential Educational Qualifications**
To apply, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in India or possess equivalent prescribed qualifications. Proficiency in the Hindi language is also required. For Junior Assistant posts, candidates must have good computer knowledge and a typing speed of 25 words per minute. For Stenographer posts, candidates require a minimum Hindi shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and a computer typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
**Written Examination Pattern**
The written examination will consist of multiple-choice questions worth 140 marks, covering General Knowledge and General Studies. The exam will be conducted over a duration of two hours and 30 minutes. Additionally, a typing and shorthand test worth 60 marks will be conducted.
