The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has opened the application process for recruitment to the post of Assistant Teacher. Candidates seeking government positions as Assistant Teachers can apply online through the official website, sssc.uk.gov.in. A total of 128 Assistant Teacher positions will be filled through this recruitment exam. The deadline for applying for these positions is October 7, 2025. Additionally, candidates will be able to make corrections to their forms from October 10 to 12.
Salary Scale
Selected candidates for Assistant Teacher positions will receive a salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
The age limit for applying for these positions is set between 21 and 42 years. Age relaxation will also be provided to candidates from special categories. SC, ST, and OBC candidates from Uttarakhand will be given a 5-year age relaxation, and candidates with disabilities will be given a 10-year age relaxation.
To apply, candidates must possess a B.Ed. Degree from a recognized institution in India and other equivalent qualifications.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination. The written examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. This examination will be of two hours' duration and will include questions related to educational qualifications. To pass the examination, General and OBC candidates must obtain 45% marks, while SC and ST candidates must obtain 35% marks.
Examination Fee
The application fee is determined by category. The examination fee for General and OBC candidates from Uttarakhand is ₹300, while the examination fee for SC, ST, EWS, and disabled candidates from Uttarakhand is ₹150. Apart from this, orphan candidates have been provided an exemption from examination fee.
