Union Bank of India Recruitment 2026: There is good news for candidates aspiring to become officers in the bank. Union Bank of India has issued a recruitment notification for a total of 395 posts as part of its recruitment drive for the 2026-27 financial year. Recruitment will be conducted for General Banking and various Specialist roles. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online via the bank's official website starting July 21, 2026. Which posts are being recruited for?
Recruitment will be conducted across five different officer levels. A total of 395 vacancies will be filled; the vacancy details are as follows:

Additionally, selected officers will receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Allowance, housing facilities or lease rent, medical facilities, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), and other bank allowances.
Who can apply?
The applicant must be a citizen of India. Additionally, citizens of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, and other eligible candidates of Indian origin (as per government rules) may also apply.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a regular (full-time) degree from a recognized university. General Banking Posts: A bachelor's degree in any discipline along with relevant banking experience is required. The duration of experience may range from approximately 2 years to 12 years or more, depending on the specific post.
Specialist Posts: Specific qualifications have been prescribed for various fields:
IT Posts: BE, B.Tech, MCA, or M.Tech (Computer Science, IT, or Electronics)
Chartered Accountant: CA from ICAI
Law Officer: LLB
Forex and Risk Management: MBA (Finance), CA, or relevant specialization
Age Limit
Maximum age limits vary by post. Age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026.
Deputy General Manager (Scale-6): Maximum 50 years
Assistant General Manager (Scale-5): Maximum 45 years
Chief Manager (Scale-4): Maximum 40 or 42 years (depending on the post)
Senior Manager (Scale-3): Generally 25 to 35 or 38 years
Manager (Scale-2): Generally 22 to 30 or 35 years
Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

Selection Process
The recruitment process will be determined based on the number of applications received for each scale.

The personal interview will carry 100 marks. Candidates must secure a minimum of 50 marks (General and EWS categories) or 45 marks (reserved categories) to qualify.
Medical Fitness and Biometric Verification
Before final appointment, candidates must be declared medically fit by a doctor or medical center authorized by the bank. During the recruitment process, the bank may also conduct biometric verification, such as thumb impressions and iris scans.
Important Terms of Appointment
Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of two years. Additionally, selected candidates are required to serve the bank for a minimum of three years. If they leave the job before the stipulated period, they will be liable to pay a penalty under the service bond.
Bond amount for General Banking posts: ₹2 lakh (plus applicable taxes)
Bond amount for Specialist posts: ₹2.5 lakh (plus applicable taxes)
Selected officers may be posted at any branch or office across the country, depending on the bank's requirements.
