0TPSC ATO Vacancy 2026: The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Group-B posts for Assistant Technical Officers (ATO). The online application process for this recruitment will commence on May 12, 2026, and will continue until June 5, 2026. Interested candidates may apply within the stipulated timeframe.

Who Can Apply?
The number of posts is subject to increase or decrease depending on the department. Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related discipline from a government-recognized institution. Additionally, candidates holding an MCA (Master's in Computer Applications) degree are also eligible to apply.

Mandatory Certificate Requirement
It is mandatory for candidates applying for these posts to possess a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC). This rule has been implemented in accordance with the government notification dated July 7, 2023.

What Are the Age Limit Rules?
As of June 5, 2026, the minimum age limit for candidates across all categories has been set at 18 years, and the maximum age limit at 40 years. Furthermore, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit will be granted to candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Physically Handicapped (PH) categories, and Government Employees.

Selection Process
The selection process will be completed in two stages. The first stage will consist of a written examination carrying 170 marks; this exam will be MCQ-based (Multiple Choice Questions) and will have a duration of 3 hours. Candidates in the Unreserved (UR) category are required to secure a minimum of 55% marks in each subject, while candidates in the Reserved categories are required to secure 45% marks. The second stage will consist of a 30-minute interview/personality test, for which candidates will be called based on their performance in the written examination. Subsequently, the final selection will be made by preparing a merit list based on the aggregate marks obtained in the written examination and the interview. Candidates who remain absent from the interview will not be included in the selection process.
