An important update for 10th-grade passouts seeking government jobs. Recruitment is underway in Bihar to fill 3,727 vacant positions for Office Attendant/Parichari (Special). The last date for registration and fee submission is today, September 24, 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can register without delay by visiting the BSSC's official website, onlinebssc.com. After registration, candidates can complete the application form by September 26.

To apply for the BSSC Office Attendant position, candidates must have passed 10th/Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board/institution. Additionally, the minimum age of a candidate is 18 years, and the maximum age is 37 years for unreserved (male) categories, 40 years for backward classes and extremely backward classes (male and female), 40 years for unreserved women, 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and 10 years for disabled candidates of all categories, depending on the category.

To fill out the BSSC Office Attendant application form, first visit onlinebssc.com/officeattendantspecial/.
On the website's home page, click on the registration link and enter the required details to register.

Then, candidates can complete the form by filling in other details through login.

Finally, pay the prescribed fee according to the category and submit the form.

Application Fee
Unreserved, OBC, and candidates from outside Bihar will have to submit a fee of ₹540 along with their application. The fee for SC, ST, differently-abled, and women candidates of all categories is ₹135.

Selection Process
To be selected for this recruitment, candidates will have to appear in a written examination. The written examination will consist of objective-type questions. The number of questions will be 100. Each correct answer will carry 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The question paper will include questions from general mathematics, general knowledge, and general Hindi.

The category-wise qualifying marks for passing the exam are 40% for unreserved categories, 36.5% for backward classes, 34% for extremely backward classes, and 32% for Scheduled Castes/Tribes, women, and persons with disabilities.
