The Indian Army has opened the application process for the TGC-143 recruitment, through which qualified engineering graduates can directly become Lieutenants.

This is great news for engineering students who dream of becoming a part of the nation's pride and glory. The Indian Army has released the official notification for the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (TGC-143) recruitment. Through this recruitment, qualified candidates can directly earn a posting to the rank of Lieutenant and have the opportunity to wear the Indian Army uniform.

The application process has begun on October 8, 2025, and candidates can apply until November 6, 2025. Candidates can submit their forms anytime during this period. This recruitment is primarily for engineering students who aspire to become officers in the Army and contribute to the service of the nation.

What is the Technical Graduate Course?

The Technical Graduate Course is a special recruitment process through which engineering graduates are selected as officers in the Indian Army. After completing training, candidates are posted at the rank of Lieutenant. Selected candidates receive a monthly stipend of ₹56,400 during their training. After completing their training, a Lieutenant's salary will range from ₹56,100 to ₹177,500 per month, depending on their level 10, plus various allowances.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have completed an engineering degree from a recognized university. Acceptable streams include civil, computer science, electrical, electronics, mechanical, and other engineering streams. Final-year students can also apply, but they must complete their degree by July 1, 2026.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age as of July 1, 2026. Their date of birth must be between July 1, 1999, and June 30, 2006.

Physical Standards

Selection requires candidates to have a 2.4 km run, 40 pushups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, 30 squats, 10 lunges, and knowledge of swimming.

To apply, candidates must first visit the Indian Army's official website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Click on Officer Entry Apply/Login. If candidates are not already registered, register first.

After completing the registration process, click on Apply Online on the dashboard. Clicking on the Apply link next to the Technical Graduate Course will open the application form. Candidates will need to fill in their personal information, education details, contact details, and other required information.
