DEE Assam Recruitment 2025: The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has invited applications for the posts of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) school teachers. The Directorate has issued separate notifications for recruitment to both posts. According to the notification issued, a total of 4,500 posts will be recruited. The online registration process for these posts will start on February 15 and end on March 31 at dee.assam.gov.in.

DEE Assam Teacher Vacancy: Post-wise vacancy details

According to the notice issued, a total of 4,500 posts of Lower Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers are to be recruited. Out of the total vacancies declared, 2,900 vacancies are for the post of Assistant Teacher in Lower Primary Schools and 1,600 vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher, and Hindi Teacher in Upper Primary (UP) Schools.

DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment Eligibility: Eligibility Criteria for Assam Teacher Recruitment

Candidates who have passed the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) (for LP or UP schools, as per the post) can apply.

Language 1 or Language 2 of CTET or ATET must match the medium of instruction of the school where they wish to apply.

Candidates must be at least 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as of January 1. The upper age limit will be relaxed for reserved category candidates.

Individuals having more than two living children (single or from multiple partners) after January 1, 2021, are not eligible to participate in this recruitment process.

DEE Assam will publish separate merit lists for each district and category.

Candidates willing to apply are advised to check the eligibility criteria in the official notification before registering.
