UP Teacher 23000 Vacancy 2025 Latest News: The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing for a bumper recruitment drive for teaching positions. A new update has emerged for young people preparing for government jobs. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a massive recruitment drive for teaching positions in aided secondary schools across Uttar Pradesh. Over 23,000 vacancies are to be filled for TGT, PGT, headmaster, and principal positions in 4,512 aided schools.

In fact, under the Uttar Pradesh Extraordinary and Special Selection Commission (UPESSC), over 23,000 positions for TGT, PGT, principal, and headmaster positions will be filled. Except for Ghazipur, all districts have submitted their vacancy details, making this one of the largest teacher recruitments in the state this year.

According to the Directorate of Education, vacancy details have been received from 71 districts. 22,201 vacancies have been found in 4,512 aided secondary schools across 71 districts. The remaining districts will soon submit applications, bringing the total number of vacancies for teaching and other positions in Uttar Pradesh to over 23,000.

Direct Recruitment Process
According to an order issued by the Directorate, all District Education Officers (DIOS) have been directed to verify and submit certificates related to vacancies, except for posts reserved for transfer in 2025-26. The Uttar Pradesh Education Selection Commission (UPESC) had requested information for the new recruitment on July 29th. The last date for submitting requisitions including potential vacancies is March 31st, 2026. It is expected that the direct recruitment process will begin after this date by issuing a notification for UP Teacher Jobs.

UP Teacher Recruitment Process
The Directorate of Education will soon upload all verified vacancies to the UPESSC portal. Each district has been instructed to ensure the accuracy of the data before submitting it. According to Dr. Brajesh Mishra, Deputy Director (Secondary-3), this process has been created to maintain transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process. After final approval, the recruitment process will be conducted online through the official portal.

Teacher Training and Supreme Court Guidelines
Following the Supreme Court's (SC) directive regarding appointments with B.Ed. degrees, over 30,000 primary teachers are now awaiting the mandatory six-month bridge course. This course, conducted by NIOS, must be completed within one year of the course's commencement, otherwise the teacher's appointment will be invalid. The bridge course was officially approved by the NCTE on July 2, 2025.

Bridge Course to Begin December 1
The state government has assured that training for the bridge course will begin on December 1. However, the Basic Education Department has not yet issued an official notification. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates.
