SSC Stenographer Grade-C Recruitment 2025 Announced! Applications Open for 326 Posts, a Great Opportunity for Government Jobs

According to the information provided by the SSC, online applications for the Stenographer Grade-C (LDCE) examination started on December 22, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until January 11, 2026. The commission has clarified that applications will only be accepted online. No forms will be accepted after the stipulated date.

Candidates selected through this recruitment will be posted in several important departments of the Central Government. These include prestigious departments such as the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service, Armed Forces Headquarters, and the Indian Foreign Service. What will the selection process be like?
The selection of candidates in the SSC Stenographer Grade-C recruitment will be done in two stages. The first stage will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a Stenography Skill Test.
The Computer-Based Test will consist of questions worth a total of 200 marks. This will include:
100 questions from General Awareness (100 marks)
100 questions from English Language (100 marks)
The examination will be of 2 hours duration. The commission has stated that negative marking will also be applicable in the examination. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer, so candidates are advised to answer the questions carefully.
Stenography Skill Test
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the next stage, the Stenography Skill Test. This test will be for a total of 200 marks. It will assess the candidate's typing speed and stenography skills.
