SSC Selection Post Phase-14: Recruitment for 3,003 Posts Begins; Apply by May 4 — Check Details..
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has initiated the recruitment process for thousands of vacancies under the Selection Post Phase-14. Through this recruitment drive, appointments will be made across various ministries and departments of the Central Government. A significant highlight is that the examination pattern has changed this time, aiming to make the examination process even more organized and transparent. This presents a golden opportunity for candidates who have passed the 10th, 12th, or Graduation levels, allowing them to apply for positions commensurate with their qualifications.
**Recruitment Process and Important Dates**
The SSC has invited online applications for a total of 3,003 vacancies. Candidates may submit their applications until May 4, while the deadline for fee submission is May 5. In the event of any errors in the application form, a correction window will be available from May 11 to May 13. The Computer-Based Examination is tentatively scheduled to be held in June.
**Vacancy Details and Eligibility**
These vacancies comprise 1,534 posts for the General category, 667 for OBC, 346 for SC, 271 for EWS, and 185 for ST categories. Many of these positions are categorized based on educational qualifications at the 10th, 12th, and Graduation levels. Regarding the age limit, the general range is 18 to 25 years, although for certain specific posts, the upper age limit has been set at 30 years.
**Major Changes in the Examination Pattern**
This time, a system of sectional timing has been introduced in the examination. Each of the four subjects—Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and English—will be allotted a separate time duration of 15 minutes. The examination will consist of a total of 100 questions, carrying a maximum of 200 marks, with an overall duration of 60 minutes.
**Transparency in the Selection Process**
To ensure transparency in the selection process, the SSC has implemented a "sliding system." Recently, during the identity verification stage, 220 out of 300 candidates finalized their chosen posts, while the remaining 80 candidates opted to wait for potentially better options.
