The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced recruitment for a total of 341 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts. Today is the last date to apply; candidates wishing to apply should fill out the form today. According to the notification issued by the SSC, the 341 vacancies for the ASO post comprise 318 positions in the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and 23 positions in the Ministry of External Affairs (Cadre Cell). The online application process for these vacancies began on June 25 and concludes today.

**Hard copy of the form must reach by July 23**
Applications can be submitted via the official SSC website until 11:00 PM today. After applying online, candidates must also send a hard copy of their registration form. This copy, along with all necessary documents, must reach the 'Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block No. 12, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003' by post on or before 6:00 PM on July 23.

However, for candidates residing in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, the deadline for sending the printed copy of the online application form, along with the required documents, to the designated address via post is 6:00 PM on July 30.

**When will the exam be held?**
Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), an evaluation of service records (APAR), and a final merit list. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is likely to be held in August; the specific date will be announced on the official website soon. Those selected will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400.
