SSC GD Constable 2025: This is a great opportunity to become a Constable GD and Rifleman in the Central Armed Police Forces, Special Security Force, and Assam Rifles. How many vacancies are in CISF, BSF, and CRPF?
The highest number of vacancies is in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). CISF has a total of 14,595 posts, of which 13,135 are for boys, and 1,460 are for girls. CRPF has a total of 5,490 posts, of which 5,366 are for boys, and 124 are for girls. SSB has a total of 1,764 posts, but all of them are only for boys. There are no seats for girls. ITBP has a total of 1,293 posts, of which 1,099 are for boys, and 194 are for girls. Assam Rifles has a total of 1,706 posts. Of these, 1,556 are for boys, and 150 are for girls. BSF has a total of 616 posts, of which 524 are for boys and 92 are for girls. SSF has only 23 posts, and those too are only for boys.
Who can fill the form?
Any boy or girl who has passed only the 10th standard from a recognized board can apply for the SSC GD Constable recruitment. The age should be at least 18 years and not more than 23 years as of January 1, 2026. This means the birth date should not be before January 2, 2003, or after January 1, 2008. OBC candidates will get a 3-year age relaxation, and SC/ST candidates will get a 5-year age relaxation.
What will be the salary?
The initial basic salary will range from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. In addition to this, DA, HRA, medical allowance, and travel allowance will be provided separately. This means a very good salary will be received every month.
What is the application fee?
General, OBC, and EWS candidates have to pay only ₹100. The form is completely free for SC, ST, all female candidates, and ex-servicemen. The fee can be paid using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
How will the selection process work?
To be selected for these posts, there will first be a computer-based written examination. This will be followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), then a Physical Standard Test (PST), and finally a medical test.
What will be the pattern of the written exam?
The exam will be completely online and will consist of 80 questions worth a total of 160 marks. There will be four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. Each section will have 20 questions. 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Only 60 minutes will be given to complete the entire paper.
Physical Efficiency Test (Running)
Boys will have to complete a 5-kilometer run in 24 minutes. Boys from the Ladakh region will get a relaxation; they will only have to run 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes. Boys' height should be at least 170 cm. For ST candidates, it should be 162.5 cm. Similarly, girls' height should be at least 157 cm, and for ST candidates, it is set at 150 cm. Boys' chest measurement should be 80 cm without expansion and 76 cm for ST candidates. A 5 cm expansion is also required.
How to fill the form?
First, open the website ssc.gov.in. On the homepage, you will see the Constable GD 2026 notification on the notice board. Click on it and read the entire PDF carefully. Then click on the Apply link. If you are filling out the form for the first time, click on "New User Register Now" at the bottom to complete the one-time registration. Fill in your Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, mobile number, email, and create a password. Then log in and fill out the form. Upload your photo and signature. Pay the fees and submit the final application. Make sure to take a printout of the application form and keep it with you.
