Which posts are being filled?

Eligibility: Class 12 Pass

For LDC-JSA and most DEO posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board. However, for DEO and DEO Grade A posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Culture, candidates must have studied Mathematics as a subject in the Science stream in Class 12. Candidates who have already appeared for the Class 12 examination may also apply, provided they fulfill the required qualifications by October 7, 2026.

Age Limit and Salary

For SSC CHSL 2026, candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age. This means candidates born before August 2, 1999, or after August 1, 2008, are ineligible to apply. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government regulations. Additionally, candidates selected through SSC CHSL will receive a salary based on the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations, depending on the specific post. For LDC-JSA posts, the salary falls under Pay Level-2, ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200. For the DEO post, the pay… Salaries will range from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 for Level-4 and from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 for Pay Level-5. Selection Process in Two Stages

Candidates will be selected through Tier-1 and Tier-2 computer-based examinations. Tier-1 will include questions on English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for incorrect answers. Tier-2 will comprise various sections, including a Computer Knowledge Test and a Skill or Typing Test, depending on the specific post. Both sessions of Tier-2 will be conducted on the same day.
