SSC CGL Vacancy 2025: The Staff Selection Commission, i.e., SSC, has released the tentative list of recruitments under CGL 2025 examination and has indicated how many posts will be filled in different ministries, departments, and organizations. According to SSC, under this recruitment campaign, recruitment will be done for 14,582 posts of Group B and C categories, in which 6183 posts are reserved for the General category, 3721 posts for OBC, 2167 posts for SC, 1088 posts for ST, and 1423 posts for EWS.

The last date to apply for the Combined Graduate Level Examination, i.e., CGL 2025, was July 4, while the window for payment of the application fee was open till July 5. At the same time, the window for correction in the application was opened on July 9 and closed on July 11. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is expected to be held from 13 to 30 August, while Tier 2 exam may be held in December this year.

Most recruitment of the CBDT Officer Superintendent

Through the SSC CGL exam, employees will be recruited for different posts in a total of 48 departments, organizations, and ministries of the Central Government, which includes 1306 posts of Central Excise Inspector, 389 posts of CBDT Income Tax Inspector, 353 posts of CBIC Inspector, 93 posts of Sub-Inspector in CBI, 30 posts of Narcotics Sub-Inspector in NCB, and 14 posts of Sub-Inspector in NIA.

Apart from this, 1174 posts of Auditor in CGDA, 771 posts of Tax Assistant, 682 posts of Assistant Section Officer in DOPT CSS, 197 posts of Assistant-ASO in IB, 180 posts of CAG Accountant-Junior Accountant, 94 posts of Assistant-ASO in EPFO, while a maximum of 6753 posts of CBDT Officer Superintendent will be recruited.

Pattern of CGL Tier-1 Exam

SSC CGL Tier-1 exam will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, in which a total of 100 questions of 200 marks will be asked, and 1 hour will be given for this. The exam will include a total of 25-35 questions of 50-50 marks from 4 sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. There will also be negative marking in the exam, so candidates should answer the questions carefully, otherwise half marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
