However, the SSC has also clarified that the number of vacancies currently notified is tentative; that is, it is subject to change later. This modification could involve either an increase or a decrease in the number of vacancies. According to the schedule released by the Commission, the online registration process for SSC CGL will remain open until 11:00 PM on June 22, 2026, while applicants will be able to pay the online application fee until June 23, 2026. The Commission has further announced that candidates will be given an opportunity to make corrections to their submitted application forms through a correction window available from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier-II Exam Schedule
The SSC CGL Tier-I examination is scheduled to be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode between August and September 2026. Candidates who qualify in this examination will appear for the Tier-II examination, which is tentatively scheduled to be held in December 2026.
