SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: South East Central Railway (SECR) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Trade Apprentices (Act Apprenticeship) for the 2026-27 session. Under this recruitment drive, applications are invited for a total of 1,644 posts. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online from May 5, 2026, to June 4, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM).

This recruitment is being conducted for the Raipur Division and the Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur. Out of the total posts, 1,363 posts are allocated to the Raipur Division, while 281 posts are designated for the Wagon Repair Shop.

Applications will be accepted exclusively through the online mode via the National Apprenticeship Training Portal (NATP). Candidates are not required to send a hard copy of their application.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit
It is mandatory for candidates to have secured at least 50% marks in their 10th Standard (Matriculation). Additionally, passing the ITI examination in the relevant trade is a prerequisite. Please note that a score of 49.9% will not be considered equivalent to 50%.

The prescribed age limit is 15 to 24 years (calculated as of May 05, 2026). Age relaxation will be granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the applicable rules.

Details of Posts
This recruitment drive covers various trades, including Fitter, Electrician, Welder, COPA, Mechanic, and Stenographer.

The highest number of vacancies is in the Fitter and Electrician trades.
Fitter and Welder trades are predominant within the Wagon Repair Shop.
Reservation policies will be applicable as per the Unreserved, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories. Additionally, reservation provisions are also available for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen.

No application fee will be charged from candidates belonging to any category for this recruitment process.

Selection Process
There will be no written examination conducted for this recruitment. Selection will be based strictly on merit.
The merit list will be prepared based on the average of the marks obtained in the 10th standard and ITI (with a 50:50 weightage).
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
