Supreme Court Recruitment 2025: The Supreme Court of India has invited applications for 90 posts of Law Clerk cum Research Associate. The notification has been issued, according to which the registration process will start from January 14. Interested candidates can visit the official website sci.gov.in. And fill and submit their application form between January 14 and February 7. The written exam will be conducted on March 9, 2025.

The official notice states, “Online applications are invited as per “Scheme for Appointment of Law Clerks-cum-Research Associates in the Supreme Court of India on Short-Term Contractual Assignment – ​​January 2024” to prepare a panel of about 90 candidates for appointment as Law Clerks-cum-Research Associates in the Supreme Court of India on a fully contractual assignment at a consolidated remuneration of Rs 80,000/- per month initially for the period 2025-2026.”

SCI Recruitment Eligibility 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below and must possess the key skills.

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Integrated Law degree from a recognized institute

The institute must be recognized by the Bar Council of India for enrollment as an advocate.

Research and analytical skills

Strong writing ability

Proficiency in computer applications

Knowledge of online research tools, e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, and Westlaw

Age Limit: As per the notification released by SCI, the age of the candidate should be at least 20 years and not more than 32 years as on February 2, 2025.

Application Fee

The application fee for the Law Clerk cum Research Associate post is Rs 500, plus additional bank charges. This fee must be paid online through the UCO Bank Payment Gateway. Candidates should note that no other mode of payment will be accepted and applications sent by post will not be considered.

SCI Recruitment Selection Process: Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:

Part I- Multiple Choice Based Questions, testing the candidate's ability to understand and apply law and comprehension skills.

Part II- Subjective Written Test, consisting of writing and analytical skills.

Part III- Interview.

Part I and Part II will be held in two sessions on the same day at twenty three (23) cities across India. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for any information and updates.
