The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers. Candidates aspiring to work as Probationary Officers at SBI can apply online starting on June 18, 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,500 SBI PO vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates can register until July 8, 2026.
The Phase-1 examination is likely to be held in August, the Phase-2 examination in September, and the Phase-3 examination in October or November.

Age Limit
The age of candidates will be calculated as of April 1, 2026. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old. Additionally, age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories: 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC and ST candidates, and 10 years for candidates with disabilities (PwD).
Educational Qualification
To apply, candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized institution in India. Furthermore, candidates must meet other prescribed eligibility criteria.
Phase-1 Exam Pattern
In the Phase-1 examination, candidates will face 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, covering English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The exam will be conducted over a duration of one hour. Candidates shortlisted in this exam will be invited to appear for the Phase-2 examination. The Phase-2 examination will consist of 170 questions worth 200 marks and will be conducted over a duration of three hours.
