Online applications for the recruitment of 1,538 Clerk posts at the State Bank of India (SBI) have commenced today, August 7, 2026. Candidates wishing to apply for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 can complete the online application process by visiting the official SBI website. The deadline for submitting applications for these posts is August 27, 2026.

**Age Limit**
The age limit for applying to the Clerk posts at SBI is set at a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years.
Age will be calculated as of April 1, 2026.
A relaxation of 3 years in the age limit will be granted to OBC candidates, 5 years to SC and ST candidates, and 10 years to PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.
To apply, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in India and meet other prescribed eligibility criteria.

**Selection Process**
Candidates will be selected based on a Preliminary Examination and a Main Examination. In the Preliminary Examination, candidates will face 100 questions worth 100 marks covering subjects such as English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. The exam will be conducted for a duration of one hour. There will be negative marking, with a deduction of one-fourth of a mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates shortlisted in this exam will be invited to appear for the Main Examination. The Main Examination will consist of 190 questions worth 200 marks, covering General and Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Computer Aptitude.

**Application Fee**
Payment of the application fee is mandatory for candidates. The application fee for OBC candidates is set at ₹750. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories are exempted from the application fee.
