RRB Technician Recruitment: There is a major update for candidates preparing to secure a job with Indian Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is set to conduct a technical recruitment drive, under which 6,565 vacancies will be filled. Specifically, this includes 352 vacancies for Grade 1 and 6,242 vacancies for Grade 2 posts. Recruitment for all these positions will be conducted on a zone-wise basis. The RRB has already issued a preliminary notice regarding this matter, while the official detailed notification is expected to be released shortly. The application process is scheduled to commence on June 30, and the deadline for submitting applications has been set for July 29.

Who Can Apply?

Conversely, for Grade 2 posts, candidates aged between 18 and 30 years are eligible to apply.

**Application Fee Payable at the Time of Submission**
Candidates applying for recruitment to Railway Technician posts are required to pay an application fee. The fee is fixed at ₹500 for candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories. Meanwhile, SC and ST candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹250. A fee of ₹250 has also been prescribed for female candidates across all categories. Additionally, a fee of ₹250 is applicable for correcting any errors made in the application form. The fee can be submitted online concurrently with the application submission. Candidates may make payments using modes such as UPI, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, or IMPS.

**Examination Process**
Regarding the prescribed selection process for the recruitment of Railway Technicians, a CBT (Computer-Based Test) will be conducted for successful applicants following the submission of applications. This will be followed by the processes of Document Verification and Medical Examination. Upon the completion of these stages, a final merit list will be prepared.
