The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification for recruitment to technician posts. For this, interested candidates can apply from 28 June to 28 July. The application has to be done in online mode by visiting the official website of RRB rrbapply.gov.in. The board has invited applications for recruitment to a total of 6180 posts.
This recruitment initiative aims to strengthen the technical staff of Indian Railways. Out of the total posts, 180 are for Technician Grade 1 Signal posts, while the remaining 6,000 are for Technician Grade 3 posts. For Technician Grade 1 Signal posts, the applicant must have a BSc degree in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation. Candidates having engineering diplomas from these subjects can also apply. At the same time, for the post of Technician Grade 3, the 10th pass candidate should have an ITI degree in specific trades like Foundryman, Moulder, Pattern Maker, or Forger and Heat Treater.

The age of the applicant should be between 18 years to 30 years. At the same time, candidates of OBC, SC, ST, and Divyang categories have also been given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules of the government. RRB Technician Recruitment 2025: Application Fee
The application fee for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Women, Transgender Persons, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes is Rs 250. This amount will be fully refunded on appearing in the CBT exam. At the same time, the fee for all other categories is Rs 500, out of which Rs 400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT.
