Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will recruit 6238 posts of Technicians. Out of these, 183 posts are vacant for Technician Grade-I Signal and 6055 posts are vacant for Technician Grade-III. Candidates who have not been able to apply till now for some reason are getting another chance. Earlier, the last date for filling the form was 27th July. Now it has been extended and candidates can apply till noon on 7th August. For this, they have to visit the official website www.rrbcdg.gov.in. Apart from this, according to the notice, the correction window will open on 9th August. The last date for fee payment will be 9th August, and the collection portal will be open from 8th to 19th August.

This is the educational qualification and age limit

For Technician Grade-I, those having a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation can apply. Or those with a 3-year diploma in engineering in the relevant field and an engineering degree can fill out the form. For Technician Grade-III, 10th pass candidates should also have an ITI certificate. Talking about the age limit, it is a minimum of 18 years. The maximum age limit for Technician Grade-3 is 30 years and for Grade-1 is 33 years. As per government rules, candidates of the reserved category will be given age relaxation.

This is the application fee

Candidates of SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, PWD, Women, Minority, EWS, and Transgender categories will have to pay Rs 250 as application fee. For candidates of other categories, this amount has been fixed at Rs 500.

This is how the selection will be done, and this much salary will be given

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the CBT exam, document verification, and medical examination. A total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam. Each question will be worth one mark. There is also negative marking of 1/3 marks. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. After appointment to Technician Grade-I, salary will be Rs 29200 to Rs 92300 per month under Level 5. On being selected for the post of Technician Grade-III, the salary will be Rs 19900 to Rs 63200 per month under Level 2.
