The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has launched the recruitment process for Junior Engineer posts (RRB JE Recruitment 2026) starting today, August 14. A total of 3,993 RRB Junior Engineer posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. If you meet the eligibility criteria for the position, you can apply online. **Salary Details**
Candidates selected for the Junior Engineer posts will receive a monthly salary of ₹35,400.
**Age Limit**
The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 33 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation. The candidates' age will be calculated as of January 1, 2027.
**Registration Fee**
The registration fee is ₹500 for unreserved category candidates and ₹250 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, female, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) categories.
**Selection Process**
Candidates will be selected based on CBT-1, CBT-2, document verification, and a medical examination. In CBT-1, candidates will face 100 questions worth 100 marks covering subjects such as Mathematics, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Science. There will be negative marking, with one-third of a mark deducted for every incorrect answer. To qualify for the next stage, General and EWS candidates must secure 40% marks, OBC and SC candidates 30%, and ST candidates 25% in the CBT-1 exam. Candidates selected in this examination will appear for the CBT-2 exam. The CBT-2 exam will consist of 150 questions carrying a total of 150 marks.
