RRB ALP Recruitment 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has postponed the start of the application process for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Recruitment 2025 for two days. Earlier this process was to start from 10 April 2025, which has now been postponed till 12 April 2025. This information has been given through a notice issued on the official website of RRB. However, no change has been made regarding the last date of application i.e. 11 May 2025.

Under this recruitment drive, candidates will be selected for a total of 9,970 posts in various RRB zones across the country. This is a golden opportunity for those candidates who want to make a career in railways, especially those who could not apply in the last cycle.

Eligibility to become Assistant Loco Pilot in Railways
Candidates should have any one of the following qualifications. You can see about it in detail.

Should have class 10th pass and ITI certificate in relevant trade.

Those who have passed class 10th and have a three-year engineering diploma will also be eligible to apply.

All candidates having a graduate degree in engineering (in the relevant field) can apply.

Age limit to get a job in railways
Candidates who want to apply for the job of Assistant Loco Pilot in Railways, their age limit should be between 18 years to 30 years as of 1 July 2025.

The fee will have to be paid for filling out the form.
Application fee for General / OBC candidates: Rs 500 (400 refundable on appearing in CBT 1)
Application fee for SC / ST / PwBD / Women / Ex-Serviceman: Rs 250 (full amount refundable on appearing in CBT 1)

Selection will be done like this.
CBT 1 - Preliminary Computer-Based Test (75 questions, 1 hour)
CBT 2 - Main Examination in two parts
Part A: 100 questions (90 minutes)
Part B: 75 questions (60 minutes), from trade subject
CBAT - Computer Based Aptitude Test (only for selected candidates)
Documents Verification and Medical Examination - Final Phase
There will be no negative marking in CBAT, while a negative marking of 1/3 marks will be applicable in CBT 1 and CBT 2.

Aadhar verification is necessary.
RRB has advised the candidates to match their Aadhar details with the class 10th mark sheet. There may be a delay in document verification if there is any error in name or date of birth.
