The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a recruitment drive to fill 11,127 vacant posts for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP). According to the short notification, the application process for this vacancy is scheduled to commence on May 15 and will continue until the stipulated deadline of June 14, 2026.

**Know the Eligibility Criteria Before Applying**
To apply for the Railway ALP Recruitment 2026, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed Class 10 along with an ITI certification from a recognized board or institution; alternatively, candidates must hold a Class 10 pass certificate combined with a Diploma in Engineering. Candidates possessing an Engineering Degree are also eligible to apply for this recruitment.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and their maximum age must not exceed 30 years. An upper age relaxation of 3 years will be granted to OBC candidates, while SC/ST candidates will receive a relaxation of 5 years. Additionally, other reserved categories and ex-servicemen will also be granted age relaxations in the upper age limit as per the applicable rules.

**Application Fee**
To submit the application form for this recruitment, candidates belonging to all general categories are required to deposit a fee of ₹500. Conversely, candidates belonging to the SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Transgender, and EBC categories are required to pay a fee of ₹250. The application fee can be paid through online modes.

Selection Process
To be selected in this recruitment drive, candidates must first appear for the CBT 1 and CBT 2 examinations. After successfully clearing both stages, candidates will be required to undergo a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV), and a Medical Examination (ME).
