What are the Eligibility Criteria for ALP? Candidates who have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board are eligible to apply online for the government position of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in the Railways.
Additionally, candidates must possess an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in one of the following trades from an institution recognized by the NCVT or SCVT: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic.
Candidates must have completed an apprenticeship in the aforementioned trades in conjunction with their matriculation (10th grade) qualification.
Candidates who have passed the 10th grade and hold a three-year diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering are also eligible to apply.
