RPSC Recruitment 2025: 574 Assistant Professor Vacancies Open, Online Applications Start Today

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced recruitment for 574 Assistant Professor posts across 30 subjects in state colleges. The commission has released a revised advertisement for these positions, and online applications began today, 20 September 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply only through the official RPSC website. Offline applications will not be accepted.

Background

The original advertisement for these posts was released on 13 December 2024 but was later withdrawn due to amendments in service rules related to Assistant Professor positions. Candidates who had applied earlier (around 1.70 lakh applicants) will need to submit a fresh application.

Eligibility and Marks Criteria

• Candidates must secure minimum 36% marks in each paper and 40% marks overall in the written exam to be considered for the next stage.

• Relaxation in minimum qualifying marks is provided for:

  • SC/ST candidates (5% relaxation)

  • Ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities, as per Rajasthan Civil Services (Ex-Servicemen) Rules, 1988, and Rajasthan Persons with Disabilities Rights Rules, 2018

Age Limit

• General Age: 21–40 years as of 1 July 2025

• Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories and special cases:

  • 1-year relaxation: Posts 1–4, 6–13, 15–26, 28–29 for candidates exceeding age limit based on the previous advertisement

  • 3-year relaxation: Posts 5, 14, and 27 for candidates applying under advertisements issued in 2020–21 or earlier

Exam Dates

The examinations will be conducted between 1–24 December 2025, as per the previously issued RPSC exam calendar of 31 December 2024.
