RPSC Vacancy 2025: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released an official notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Director and Senior Scientific Officer. The online application process for these positions will begin on December 29th. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until January 27, 2026. A total of 28 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive.
Who can apply?
Candidates applying for these positions must possess an M.Sc. degree in relevant subjects, including Zoology, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology. They must also fulfill other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the commission.
The minimum age limit for candidates is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories. SC and ST categories will receive a 5-year relaxation, OBC category will receive a 3-year relaxation, and PwD candidates will receive a 10-year relaxation.
Application Fee
Candidates from all categories will have to pay the prescribed application fee to apply for these positions. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs. 600, while for SC and ST category candidates it is Rs. 400.
Examination Pattern
The written examination will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions from the relevant subject, carrying a total of 150 marks. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. A negative marking of one-third of a mark will be applicable for each incorrect answer. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be shortlisted for the next stage.
Salary
Candidates selected for the Assistant Director position will be paid under Pay Matrix Level L-16, while for the Senior Scientific Officer position, Pay Matrix Level L-15 will be applicable. However, according to state government rules, during the probation period after appointment, candidates will be paid a fixed monthly salary.
