Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) has issued a major recruitment notification for 252 apprenticeship positions. Engineering graduates, diploma holders, and ITI graduates are eligible to apply. The important thing is that the entire process will be conducted without a written exam or interview. Selection will be based solely on your qualifications and your marksheet scores.
The online application process has begun, and interested candidates can apply until December 5, 2025. This RITES recruitment offers young people a great opportunity to learn and strengthen their careers in a government institution.
Which positions will be covered?
This recruitment includes a total of 252 positions. The largest number of these positions are reserved for graduate apprentices. Both engineering and non-engineering candidates can apply for graduate apprenticeships. Diploma apprenticeships and trade apprenticeships are followed by ITI-qualified candidates.
There are 146 graduate apprenticeship positions. Candidates with BE, B.Tech, and B.Arch degrees are eligible for these positions. Non-engineering graduates such as BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, and BCA are also eligible. A total of 49 diploma apprenticeship positions are available. Candidates must have a three-year full-time engineering diploma to apply. Only candidates with an ITI degree from a recognized institute will be eligible to apply for the 57 trade apprenticeship positions.
What are the eligibility and prerequisites?
A four-year engineering degree is required for graduate apprenticeships. Non-engineering candidates can also apply with a three-year bachelor's degree. Diploma positions require candidates to have a three-year diploma in an engineering field. For trade apprenticeships, an ITI degree is required. Minimum marks are also required for this recruitment. General and EWS candidates require a minimum of 60 percent marks, while SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD candidates require 50 percent marks.
How will the selection be conducted?
RITES has kept this recruitment process very simple. Candidates will be selected from a merit list based solely on qualifying marks. No candidate will be required to take an exam or attend an interview.
How much will the stipend be?
The stipend received during the apprenticeship also makes this recruitment more attractive to young people. Selected graduate apprentices will receive approximately ₹14,000 per month. Diploma apprentices will receive approximately ₹12,000 per month. ITI-qualified trade apprentices will receive a stipend of up to ₹10,000.
