Relieving news has emerged for the thousands of candidates heading to take the police recruitment exam. In view of the anticipated rush and travel difficulties during the exam period, East Central Railway has made special arrangements. Candidates will no longer have to rely solely on regular trains to reach their exam centers, as the Railways has decided to operate additional exam special trains.

Facilities Provided via 19 Special Trains in the First Phase

To assist candidates appearing in the first phase of the exam on June 14, 2026, the Railways operated a total of 19 exam special trains. These trains helped a large number of candidates reach their exam centers on time. Of these, the Danapur Division operated 12 trains, while the Samastipur Division ran 7 special trains. This arrangement provided candidates with considerable relief from overcrowding and travel-related hassles.

Railways Steps Up Preparations for the Second Phase

Now, with the second phase of the exam approaching, the Railways has further strengthened its preparations. More than 30 exam special trains are being operated on June 16 and 17, 2026, to facilitate travel for candidates coming from various districts and cities. The Railways’ objective is not merely to run extra trains but also to ensure candidates reach their exam centers on time and in an organized manner.

Focus on Reducing Crowding During Exam Days

The number of passengers on trains and at stations tends to surge suddenly during recruitment exams. In such a scenario, the provision of special trains can prove to be a major help for the candidates. This will ease the pressure on regular trains and provide candidates with better travel options. The move is also expected to reduce travel-related uncertainty on the day of the exam. Candidates should verify train timings and platform details before setting out and keep their admit cards and identity proofs ready in advance. For long journeys, it is advisable to start early to ensure that any potential delays do not impact the exam.

Thousands of candidates to benefit directly

This railway initiative brings relief to candidates appearing for the police recruitment exam. The operation of additional special trains will make travel easier, allowing candidates to reach the exam centers without added stress.
