Government Jobs 2026: There is good news for professionals in the medical field. Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital (SRHCH) in Delhi has invited applications for a total of 12 Senior Resident positions across various departments. The vacancies for Senior Residents at SRHCH include 2 posts in Anesthesia, 4 in Radiology, 2 in Orthopedics, 1 in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2 in Surgery, and 1 in Pathology. Let’s look at the eligibility criteria, salary, and selection process for these positions.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for the interview must hold an MBBS degree along with a postgraduate degree or diploma from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, they must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (in accordance with the Residency Scheme).

Furthermore, if no postgraduate (PG) candidates are available for these Senior Resident positions, candidates with an MBBS degree and two years of experience—including at least one year of experience in the relevant or equivalent department/specialty at a recognized government hospital or institution—may be considered for appointment on an ad-hoc basis, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements.

Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years, calculated as of the date of the interview. Candidates from reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit as per existing rules.

Where will the walk-in interview be held?
According to the news agency IANS, walk-in interviews will be conducted in the month of October 2026, every Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), at the 'Conference Room (Room No. 103)' of Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital (SRHCH) between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Candidates planning to attend the interview are advised to arrive at the venue on time and bring both the originals and photocopies of all necessary documents.

How will the selection process work?
Eligible candidates for these Senior Resident positions will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700. Additionally, candidates will be entitled to other benefits and allowances.

Candidates should note that this appointment by SRHCH is purely on an ad hoc (temporary) basis—either for a period of 89 days or until a regular candidate joins, whichever occurs first. This tenure may be extended for up to a maximum of three years, provided that the service is found to be satisfactory.
