Who is eligible to apply?
For both positions, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. The age of the candidate must be between 25 and 40 years. For the position of Manager, a minimum of 10 years of commissioned service in the Army—at the rank of Major or above—is required. Equivalent ranks and service experience in the Navy or Air Force are also acceptable. For candidates from paramilitary forces, a minimum of 10 years of service with the rank of Deputy Commandant is required. For the position of Deputy Manager, a minimum of 5 years of commissioned service in the Army—at the rank of Captain or above—is required. For candidates from paramilitary forces, 5 years of service as an Assistant Commandant is required. The medical standard for both positions is SHAPE-1.
How will the selection be made?
Candidates will be selected based on an online written examination and a personal interview. The written examination will consist of four sections: Reasoning, English, General Awareness, and Professional Knowledge. The test will comprise a total of 200 questions, carrying 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. The Professional Knowledge section will account for 100 marks, and the score from this section will be considered for the merit list. The other three sections will be qualifying in nature. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview. The examination is expected to be held in December 2026 or January 2027.
What are the salary and application fee details?
The position of Manager (Security) falls under the MMGS Grade-3 scale, while the position of Deputy Manager (Security) falls under the MMGS Grade-2 scale. The salary scale for a Manager ranges from ₹85,920 to ₹1,05,820, and for a Deputy Manager, it ranges from ₹64,820 to ₹93,960. In addition, benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, pension under the National Pension System (NPS), and medical facilities will be provided. Candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. There is no application fee for SC and ST candidates.
