Eligibility to apply?

Candidates must have a full-time B.Tech or B.E. degree from a recognized university in the relevant engineering subject. General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates must have secured a minimum of 65% marks, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates must have at least 55% marks.
The age limit for General and EWS candidates is 26 years as on July 1, 2025, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories.

Selection Process

Selection for IOCL Grade A posts is done in three stages. The first phase is a computer-based test (CBT). The CBT will be an online objective test that will be of 150 minutes duration and will consist of 100 questions. These are divided into two sections: domain knowledge (50 questions) related to the candidate's engineering discipline, and general aptitude (50 questions), which will include quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal ability.

Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for group discussion (GD) and group task (GT), which will assess communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. The final stage is the personal interview (PI), which assesses technical knowledge and overall suitability. The final merit list is then prepared.
