Recruitment for Driver Posts in India Post; Opportunity for 10th Pass Candidates

India Post Job: India Post has announced recruitment for the post of Staff Car Driver for candidates who have passed the 10th standard. This recruitment will be conducted under the Mail Motor Service based in Bengaluru. Interested and eligible candidates can apply via offline mode. The recruitment will be based on deputation-cum-absorption, and applications will be accepted within 60 days from the date of the notification's publication. A total of 11 posts will be filled; of these, 10 posts are designated for the Bengaluru Mail Motor Service and one post for the Mysore Sub-Depot.
Who can apply?
Candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Additionally, they must possess a valid driving license for both light and heavy motor vehicles. Applicants should have at least three years of driving experience and knowledge regarding vehicle repair and maintenance. However, this recruitment is exclusively for existing Central Government employees. Appointments will be made on a deputation-cum-absorption basis. Priority will be given to eligible employees within the Department of Posts, such as Dispatch Riders and Multi-Tasking Staff. If suitable candidates are not available within the department, eligible employees from other Central Government departments will also be considered.
What is the age limit?
The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 56 years as of the application deadline. Additionally, Armed Forces personnel who are due to retire or be transferred to the reserve within one year may also apply, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
What is the salary?
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The basic salary for this post will range from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month. In addition, other allowances and facilities will be provided in accordance with Central Government rules.
