The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued a recruitment notification for Assistant Professor positions. The exam will be held on January 4, 2026, and selection will be based on a written exam and interview.

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released an official notification for recruitment to Assistant Professor positions. This opportunity is open to all candidates who have completed their education in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law.

The application process for this recruitment is completely online. Interested candidates can fill out the form by visiting the official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in. The Commission has also announced the date of this recruitment exam. The exam will be held on January 4, 2026. Admit cards will be made available to candidates on the website on December 26, 2025.

To become an Assistant Professor, a candidate must have a PG (Master's) degree in the relevant subject. Additionally, candidates must have obtained an M.Phil. or Ph.D. degree. Passing the SLET/SET and National Eligibility Test (NET) is also mandatory. Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks.

The minimum age limit is 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 42 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, and OBC) as per the rules.

The selection process will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, candidates will have to appear for a written examination. Successful candidates will then be interviewed. Based on their performance in both stages, merit will be determined.

The fee for this recruitment process has also been determined for different categories. The application fee for SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates in Madhya Pradesh will be ₹250, while all other candidates will have to pay ₹500. Selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹57,700 per month as determined by the state government.
